Try removing all previous connections on the hardware on the harley, remove it from your iphone, put everything in pairing mode and then pair them again. Uv protection, conformal coated circuits.

You have it backwards, harley would have to include carplay on their system. Apple carplay only works on the new gts radios on the 2019s. By doing this, it activates apple car play on the harley boom box gts and you can then begin using it.
